He was 35 when people first pulled through the gates of Camp Micah and today he turned 50!  Even though he has the energy of a 25 year old, Mark received his AARP card in the mail today.  In all seriousness, today is one of the most anticipated days of the summer.  As a camp, we got to celebrate Mark’s birthday.  The day started with our annual Shabbat breakfast buffet and was followed by the camp doing various social action projects all around camp.  We completed 50 Mitzvot in honor of Mark. Some of the highlights included landscaping the area around Mark’s house, making dog biscuits for the local animal shelter, and making friendships bracelets for pediatric cancer patients.

After our Batman themed lunch and a birthday cake made in the shape of Mark’s head, we were treated to a performance by Audiobody.  Audiobody is a thrilling high-tech comedy show complete with electronic music, light, contortionism, juggling, and general awesomeness.  The camp had a blast and especially loved when Mark was called up to perform!

Tonight we had our weekly cookout, followed by Campfire.  The acts were great and the Micah Update was hilarious as usual.  To close, we would like to once again wish Mark a happy 50th and we can’t wait to spend the next 50 years with him!
